What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Controller position at Jetro / Restaurant Depot?
Job functions include but not limited to:
- Support the Controller in the day-to-day procedures to record, summarize, and report all operational, administrative, and financial transactions for the correct amount and in the appropriate general ledger accounts
- Detailed expense analysis. Budget to actual variance review & interaction with branches , executives, key departments.
- Monitor balance sheet review, account reconciliations and variances between current year results to last year to budget
- Analyze general ledger accounts, investigate and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents and reports.
- Verify daily cash, check & credit deposits to POS system
- Sales tax audit assistance and filings
- Assist with annual budget preparation
- Assist in year end closing and interaction with outside auditors & tax preparers
