Position Title: Development/Finance Coordinator
FLSA: Exempt
Hours: Part-time 10-15 Hrs
Pay: $25-27/hour
Location: Hybrid, Norwell, MA
Position Summary
Jett Foundation empowers people and families impacted by Duchenne muscular dystrophy through the development of transformative programming, educational opportunities, and ongoing support for every stage of a Duchenne journey. We fulfill this mission by partnering with individuals and families through empowering educational programming, transformational direct service experiences, and by accelerating development of life-changing treatments.
The Development Coordinator is responsible for supporting all aspects of fundraising activities and is critical in assisting Jett Foundation as a whole. Primary responsibilities include donation and data entry, maintaining constituent data, preparing reports, donor acknowledgments, and financial reconciliation.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary Jett Foundation donor database user, entering, maintaining, and reporting data. Generate departmental reports.
- Coordinate the donor acknowledgment process: preparation of gift acknowledgments, pledge invoices, and personalized recognition for major donors. Ensures electronic record of signed acknowledgment letters/invoices are maintained.
- Send acknowledgment letters and other mailings.
- Ensure accuracy and quality for all data captured to support proper recognition and align with audit policies.
- Assist with donor relation initiatives as needed, including but not limited to appeal segmentation, donor recognition, and targeted communications.
- Collaborate closely with the Director of Development to communicate donor activity and response, ensuring donor correspondence and other action items are efficiently and effectively managed and recorded.
- Prepare, produce, and distribute a regular schedule of donor reports.
- Manage donor database integrity by identifying and removing duplicate records and typographical errors to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Assist with credit card allocations and financial reconciliation.
- Assist with individualized donor mailings as well as larger donor. communications, ensuring accuracy and high standards.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Education and Qualification
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and related experience required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in an office setting, non-profit setting preferred
- Experience working with donor databases, specifically Donor Perfect, preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills; comfort in a customer-service role representing Jett Foundation to external audiences.
- Ability to prioritize several projects and tasks simultaneously to meet regular deadlines.
- Willing to build and nurture effective working relationships emphasizing teamwork, respect, and excellence within a team and across the organization.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, G-Suite, Mac operating systems, and Zoom
- Highly detail-oriented.
