Overview : Lead and manage the Shipping Department to ensure timely, efficient, and cost-effective delivery of products.
1st Shift - typical hours 7 : 00 am - 4 : 30 pm
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and develop the shipping team, including scheduling, performance reviews, and training
- Maintain shipping standards, including customer requirements, compliance, safety, and quality
- Manage departmental operations, including scheduling, task allocation, and workflow optimization
- Participate in production meetings and coordinate with other departments
- Implement and improve shipping processes to increase efficiency and productivity
- Manage carrier relationships and evaluate shipping options for cost-effectiveness
- Communicate shipping information to customers and suppliers using relevant systems
