Assistant Technical Director

This posting is for 1099 Independent Contractor position. This posting is NOT for a W2 employee position.

Job Function:

The WTA Assistant Technical Director will assist the Technical Director in building, painting, loading in and striking the set, and running backstage crew assignments for the Wolf Theatre Academy main stage summer production.

ATD will be responsible for building and acquiring all props, set dressing, and furniture for the mainstage production. ATD will also assist the TD in building and supervising students as they help build scenic elements for the mainstage show.

During the build process, Technical Apprentice Intern will be required to read design plans, operate power tools, cut lumber, paint and stain scenery, build theatrical props, and assist students in accomplishing these tasks as provided by the Technical Director and show design paperwork.

During the performance process, ATD may be required to help students move scenery and supervise the use of any weapons or special effects.

Location: Elaine Wolf Theatre
Dates: Thursday, June 12 – Sunday, July 13
Monday – Friday: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm;
Performances: Wednesday July 9^th @ 7:00pm Thursday June 10 @ 11:00am and 7:00 pm; Friday July 11 @ 11:00 am; Sunday, July 13 @ 1:00 pm

Potential Weekend Tech Call on 29^th & Sunday June 28^th

Salary : $2,000 - $2,800
