General Responsibility:
The Videographer is responsible for documenting camp life through video and producing video appropriate for viewing both in camp and online. The videographer will also be charged with producing videos for various projects to be used in Camp programs. The videographer will be involved in all other media related endeavors, including, but not limited to; photography, blog, and social media. The videographer is a seasonal summer employee of the Camp team. The videographer will work in partnership with the program team, and will report to the Camp Director. This position is an “in-residence” position, requiring them to live onsite during employment. Dates for the summer are June 7 – August 4, with flexibility for time off based on other projects the employee may be committed to.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience and/or certification in or extensive knowledge of photography, videography, and other forms of media
- Desire and willingness to engage with children
- Ability and willingness to accept supervision and guidance
- Ability to problem solve and be flexible as schedule changes, weather challenges and other issues arise
- Experience working with children ages 6-16 in a recreational setting
- Possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Capacity to work with a broad range of people
- Strong abilities both to collaborate with a team and work autonomously
Video Experience:
- Prior experience filming, editing, and producing final cuts
- Familiar with Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premier, Photoshop, Adobe after effects, Adobe Audition, and DaVinci Resolve
- Knowledge of Vimeo.com, as it is the platform we use for video postings
- Experience using motion graphics
Responsibilities/Expectations:
- Attend General Staff Orientation, June 7-14, 2025
- Document camp life through video and photos including activity periods, regular activities, and special programs
- Responsible for producing “yearbook” style videos throughout the summer
- Responsible for producing videos to be used in programs as needed Responsible for uploading and distributing video content online
- Oversee and manage video equipment (cameras, batteries, etc.), & production space
- Be responsible for planning and executing all video/media projects
- Be punctual to all programs and meetings
- Be responsible for the proper use of equipment and supplies
- Cooperate with Camp leadership in matters involving rules, safety, & programming
- Set a good example in all areas of camp life; act as a role model
- Be a positive, contributing member of the camp team
Additional Responsibilities:
- Set a good example for campers including cleanliness, punctuality, sharing cleanup and chores, and sportsmanship
- Follow camp rules and regulations
- Keep a clean and tidy cabin and living space
- Complete duties as assigned
- Attend all staff meetings as directed
- Encourage respect for personal property, camp equipment and facilities
- Manage personal time off in accordance with camp policy
- Additional responsibilities as assigned
Compensation:
- $4,000 - $6,000 depending on experience

PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands, to touch, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms; climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. Frequently they are required to sit. The employee is frequently required to lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally required to lift up to 40 pounds. The vision requirements include: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Must be able to obtain or possess PA Criminal History Clearance, PA Child Abuse Clearance, FBI Clearance, PA Mandated Reporter Training, First Aid/CPR Certification.
