We are seeking a passionate Case Manager to join our Adult Literacy Program. The Case Manager will make a difference in the lives of underserved communities and populations across NYC!
- Identify and address student barriers to ESOL class participation and success, including but not limited to academic, personal, social, and logistical challenges.
- Provide comprehensive case management services to ESOL students, both in-person and virtually, to support their academic progress and employment goals.
- Assist students with all aspects of the job search process, including resume and cover letter writing, interview preparation, job application completion, and networking.
- Support students in securing and retaining employment, providing ongoing coaching and resources as needed.
- Collaborate with ESOL instructors to monitor student attendance, academic performance, and overall progress.
- Conduct regular check-ins with students to assess their needs, provide encouragement, and offer individualized support.
- Work with students to identify their strengths, interests, and career goals, and develop individualized plans to achieve them.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student interactions, progress, and outcomes.
- Connect students with relevant community resources and support services as needed.
- Participate in program meetings and professional development activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bilingual Spanish OR Russian required.
- Fluency in the English language required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and attention to detail required.
- Prior social services, case management, career counseling or related experience is a plus!
This is a full time position – 35 hours per week. Travel throughout the 5 boroughs and flexibility with hours required. Some evening work required.
