JCYS North Suburban Day Camp Counselor - June 2nd - August 8th
Position summary :
Direct supervision of campers. Organize and promote activities, such as arts and crafts, sports, games, music, dramatics, social recreation, and hobbies, taking into account the needs and interests of individual members.
Tasks :
Organize, lead, and promote interest in recreational activities such as arts, crafts, sports, games, camping, and hobbies.
Greet new arrivals to activities, introducing them to other participants, explaining facility rules, and encouraging participation.
Enforce rules and regulations of recreational facilities to maintain discipline and ensure safety.
Confer with management to discuss and resolve participant complaints.
Complete and maintain time and attendance forms and inventory lists.
Ascertain and interpret group interests, evaluate equipment and facilities, and adapt activities to meet participant needs.

Qualifications : Must be 16 yrs or older
Working Conditions : Outdoor Environment subject to outdoor elements during the months of June through August
