DIRECTOR OF CASE MANAGEMENT
Job Summary:
Provide overall management for the delivery of services to families involved in the dependency court system and prevention program, including delivery of quality services within a family-centered, culturally sensitive, and community- based approach. Acts as liaison between PSF, the court system and JFCS.
Education and Experience:
Master's Degree in Social Work or related field and two years experience in human services or child welfare programs. Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or related field and four years experience may be substituted.
Licensure and Certification:
Child Welfare Case Management (CWCM) certification required.
Primary Job Functions:
- Direct and manage activities of Associate Director, and other identified staff assigned to the Child Safety program, including performance evaluation, selection interviewing, and staff development.
- Responsible for attracting, recruiting, selecting and developing a high performing team of supervisors and staff.
- Able to lead and guide staff in accomplishing work objectives. This includes recognizing and rewarding excellent performance, setting high performance standards, providing effective feedback,
- Holding staff accountable for performance, locating resources to support staff efforts, and providing opportunities for ongoing staff development and guidance for career development.
- Able to effectively communicate the organization’s vision and mission, and is able to motivate and inspire others. This includes engaging others in a team process to accomplish goals and solve problems, modifying leadership style to meet situational requirements, staying focused on primary goals within a context of competing priorities, finding win/win resolution of problems and conflicts, and enhancing worker productivity and professional development.
- Act as liaison between PSF and JFCS, attending meetings, regularly interacting with contract manager, attending CLS meetings.
- Delivers public speaking that captures the attention of diverse audiences.
- Ensure we meet and exceed all contractual obligations; ensuring staff meet all contractual deadlines and data requirements.
- Put measures in place to ensure children’s safety.
- Maintain a positive relationship with Court.
- Strong presence, advocate for Agency, staff and clients.
- Positive role model for supervisors and staff.
- Ensure smooth transition of cases within agency, when necessary.
- Oversee the preparation and distribution of program documentation and reports, consolidating information and statistics (monthly, quarterly, annually).
- Manage and authorize payment from Client Assistance and PTS budgets.
- Interact with families regarding questions or concerns with case management.
- Provide regular information and updates on program to the CEO.
- Meet training requirements stipulated by the Florida Certification Board for a Child Welfare Case Manager.
- Complete other duties as assigned
Periodic Job Functions
- Participate in the negotiation of contract with PSF.
- Represent JFCS at various meetings in the community.
