JFSA has an immediate opening for an experienced Payment Application Specialist. The representative is responsible for posting payments received from insurance companies and self-pay clients. This position is full-time, Monday through Friday, and office-based.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Retrieves daily deposit batches electronically from corporate bank lockboxes.
- Posts all cash received to the General Ledger using Sage, transferring funds to sub-systems in preparation for posting to individual client invoices.
- Balances all payment posting to the remittance advice/cash deposit
- Posts insurance and client payments for multiple service programs.
- Posts adjustments not calculated by billing systems.
- Balances cash receipts at month end.
- Maintains cash receipt files and journals in a neat and orderly fashion.
- Maintains files in a neat and organized manner including entering documentation (notes) into the appropriate system thereby memorializing what efforts have been expended on a specific account.
