In this role, you have the opportunity to use your organizational and multi-tasking skills and customer service experience to make a meaningful difference in your community and help change lives across the Coachella Valley. The Housing Assistant plays an integral role on the team and supports the entire agency by taking on roles and responsibilities that will help us better serve our clients. This position reports directly to the Housing Manager and works closely with the Housing Team and the rest of the HUD Program team.Responsibilities : Food Pickup and Delivery, this involves driving a refrigerated box truck. Maintain good donor relationship during recurring food pickup from various locations including : Jensens', Panera, FIND Food Bank, McDonald's, Starbucks, KFC, etcLoading and Unloading furniture, food, donated items, etcCompleting, Delivering and Retrieval of DocumentationPicking up NoticesLawn MaintenanceAssisting in Placing and Relocating ClientsConducting HUD Housing Quality Standard Inspections and ReportsAssisting with In-Kind DonationsAssisting with Outreach ServicesAssisting with Food Distribution and PreparationAssembling and Delivering household furniture and household itemsOrganizing In-Kind, storage and outreach closetInventory ManagementMaintaining invoices and donation receiptsAssist with inputting data into client databaseOther responsibilities, as assignedSkills / Experience / Abilities That Are a Must-Have : Highschool diploma or equivalentA clean driving recordExcellent oral communication skillsMust have a valid California Driver's LicenseMust Pass livescan and drug screeningMust be able to lift 50 pounds repeatedly during a shiftMust be able to stand, walk, and move for several hours at a timeGood people / customer service skillsSkills / Abilities We'd Like You to Have : Experience and strong desire to work in a fast paced, team environment and interact with staff, clients, and guests in a consistently personable, professional and helpful mannerThis is an active positionImportant Notice : Incomplete submissions will not be considered.
