Description
We are seeking a professional and experienced Swahili Interpreter to assist with translation and interpretation services for our organization. The ideal candidate should have strong language skills in both Swahili and English, with the ability to interpret in real-time during meetings, conferences, and events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate and professional interpretation between Swahili and English, both in written and verbal formats.
- Assist in translating documents, presentations, and correspondence from English to Swahili and vice versa.
- Interpret during meetings, phone calls, and video conferences as required.
- Ensure the confidentiality and integrity of all information interpreted.
- Work closely with clients and colleagues to ensure smooth communication.
Qualifications
- Must be able to do in-person interpretation in the southeast Michigan area
- Proven experience as a Swahili interpreter
- Fluency in both Swahili and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong understanding of cultural nuances in both languages.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in interpretation.
- Experience with interpretation equipment is a plus.
