Job Description
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Finance Director will join a growing and strategic team. This experienced professional will oversee the financial health of the Jewish Federation of Greater Houston. The Finance Director manages all financial forecasting, budgeting, reporting, cash flow, and financial analysis to keep the organization financially sustainable.
The primary responsibilities for this role will include :
- Oversee cash flow planning and ensure the availability of funds to meet current and future obligations.
- Manage the preparation of all regular financial reporting materials and metrics.
- Establish budgets in coordination with the CEO, COO, and the leadership team.
- Perform analyses to inform financial decision-making and long-term sustainability.
- Collaborate with the COO to design and maintain finance policies.
- Work with outside financial contractor to :
- Design and maintain internal controls and accounting procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulatory and reporting requirements.
- Manage all external audit processes and relationships with external accountants.
- Implement improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and transparency.
- Other responsibilities and duties as needed.
