What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bookkeeper position at Jewish Federation of Peoria?
We are looking for a skilled Bookkeeper to maintain our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts and payments. include working closely with our accounting team to create and analyze financial reports and ensure legal requirements compliance, process accounts payable and receivable and manage invoices and tax payments. Our ideal candidate is familiar with accounting software like Quickbooks. Ultimately, the Bookkeeper’s responsibilities are to accurately record all day-to-day financial transactions of our company.
Responsibilities
- Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process
- Experience with Quickbooks for accounting
- Process payments, maintain files and upload documents for records retention
- Invoice Clients
- Handle reimbursements
- Balance and reconcile all bank accounts and investments, monthly
- Maintain compliance records for a non-profit
- Prepare for year end audit
- Experience in clerical support tasks and work with Filemaker, MS Office
Requirements
- Customer service orientation skills
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, positive ream attitude
- Previous book keeping skills
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 per week
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
- No weekends
