Pay Range : $30-32 / hour

The Job : Do you enjoy teaching and engaging children to help them learn, create and thrive? If so, this might be the role for you! As the Club J Jewish, Culture and Hebrew Coordinator you will lead a specialized track of afterschool programming, focused on Jewish Culture and Hebrew language known as “Club JCH.” You will help build, launch and lead the program serving children in grades K-3. The Core Duties :
Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum that focuses on Jewish Culture, History, Traditions, Language and Values with an active learning approachOversee the daily procedures of the Club JCH afterschool program track to ensure efficient daily operationsLead and participate in effective interaction and supervision of children in individual and group settingsPlan and execute special events, holidays, celebrations and cultural activitiesBuild relationships with parents, community leaders and local organizations to promote the program and foster ongoing partnershipsThe Essentials :
Bachelor's degree in Jewish Studies, Education, or a related field preferred2 years of experience in after-school programming, Jewish education, or youth leadership preferredStrong knowledge of curriculum development of Jewish culture, traditions, and Hebrew language (proficiency a plus)12 semester units of Early Childhood Education (ECE), Child Development (CD) units or units recognized by Community Care Licensing as qualifying in an afterschool settingCleared Background Check (Fingerprints, Child Abuse Index Check and Medical / TB exam)Valid and appropriate California Driver LicenseSafe driving record which meets the OFJCC insurance requirements. Must pass drug test as required for new driversPediatric First Aid and CPR CertifiedExcellent communication, organizational, and leadership skillsAbility to work with children of diverse ages and backgroundsPassion for building community and promoting Jewish heritageFamiliarity with local Jewish community resources and organizationsStrong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
