Position Overview
We are seeking a Project Manager to join our Annapolis Junction, MD office. This role offers the opportunity to lead construction monitoring and testing projects across the Washington, D.C., and Baltimore metropolitan areas while collaborating with teams across multiple offices.
The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage construction materials testing services for commercial land development projects.
- Oversee & coordinate testing and inspection projects related to:
- Earthwork, Concrete, Foundations, Masonry, Steel, EIFS (Exterior Insulation and Finish Systems), Fireproofing, and Pavement construction
- Supervise, review, and direct technician staff on-site.
- Perform on-site inspections, including soil bearing and compaction tests, concrete placement, fireproofing, and wood framing assessments.
- Attend client meetings & site visits as required.
- Support business development efforts by maintaining client relationships and expanding opportunities.
- Assist the Branch Manager with operational and management tasks as needed.
Qualifications & Experience
✔ Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Geology (preferred)
✔ 3-5 years of experience in Geotechnical Engineering or Construction Monitoring & Testing
✔ Experience managing construction testing & inspection projects of varying sizes
✔ Ability to estimate labor requirements for construction projects
✔ Strong client communication & relationship-building skills
✔ Experience managing construction staff (preferred)
✔ Specialty construction testing certifications (a plus)
✔ Must meet all pre-employment requirements
