What are the responsibilities and job description for the Weekend Caregiver 4 to 12 hour shifts position at JFS Care?
- Provide personal assistance to elderly patients by attending to their basic needs, such as (but not limited to) showering, bathing, dressing and eating
- Help with mobility inside the home, and outside (doctor’s visits, walks, etc.)
- Plan and prepare meals
- Help with physical therapy exercises
- Complete client’s shopping needs or accompany them to successfully do so
- Perform light housekeeping duties
- Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency, and always report any unusual incidents
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Able to pass a DOJ/ FBI background check
- At least 2 years of experience preferred
- Experience working with Dementia, blindness, Alzheimer, Parkinson’s, Hoarding, Cancer patients, mobility issues are a plus
- Home Care Aide Registration ID #
- Current TB test (less than a year old)
- Up-to-date CPR and First Aid Certifications
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation every single day
