What are the responsibilities and job description for the Auto Parts Sales Associate position at JHI Auto Corporation?
Responsibilities:
- Inform customers at the admission window of our policies and check to make sure they are met before entry. Answer customer questions using your parts knowledge and through checking our vehicle inventory in the CRUSH system.
- Check customers out at the sales window, making sure to properly identify the correct parts being purchased and that they are charged appropriately.
- Answer phones and assist customers by answering their questions or transferring them to the proper department.
- Responsible for keeping office clean.
- Give quotes on customer vehicles as needed.
- Stock various items for sale.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED
- Basic automotive parts knowledge a must
- The ability to process cash and credit card transactions.
- Able to work retail hours including weekends.
- Prior experience in the automotive parts department preferable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- ASE parts certification a plus.
- Ability of lifting or moving items of up to 50 pounds.
- Bi-lingual is a plus.
