What are the responsibilities and job description for the Jr Interior Designer position at Jill Howard Design Studio LLC?
Jill Howard Design Studio is seeking a full-time Jr. interior designer with proven experience in all phases of design to work in our downtown Charleston Studio. This position will be instrumental in executing projects and will report directly to the Principal. Candidates should have strong design experience on residential projects where they were involved in all phases of interior design and construction process. Experience on commercial projects a plus.
Responsibilities :
- Manage projects from concept through space planning, design development and documentation, construction, procurement and installation.
- Prepare construction documentation; including drawings, schedules, specifications, and custom details.
- Develop FF&E packages – participating in the selection and documentation of furniture, fixtures, equipment, and material specifications. Create Estimates and Purchase Orders using our software system (Studio Designer).
- Work with project trades to meet overall project goals.
- Communicate with client.
- Directly participate with the Principal to ensure projects are on schedule, on budget, reflects all client and project objectives.
- Work as a team with the Principal and Design Assistants.
