AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE ADVISOR

ROLES/RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Greet customers, listen to the description of the problem, obtain customer and vehicle information
- Inspect all vehicles for bodywork, notify the customer if work is needed
- Secure agreement from customers before repairs; cover cost estimate; and approximate time when vehicle's work will be completed
- Advise customers on the care of their cars and the value of maintaining their vehicles in accordance with manufacture's specifications, using maintenance menus
- Handle minor customer complaints and misunderstandings
- Follow up progress of each repair order during the day, contact customers by telephone regarding changes in the estimate or time promised
- Handle telephone inquiries and return phone messages promptly
- Deliver vehicles to customers and answer any questions, review work performed and explain charges and coverage
- Work as a team with other team members thru out the entire dealership
- Accept/Report/Type Warranty Repair Orders with proper Vehicle Inquiry/Vehicle History to support Valid Warranty filings. Insuring accuracy of Warranty Claim.
- Refer leads and prospects for vehicle sales to the new and pre-owned sales departments
- Assist the service manager as necessary
- Follow company safety procedures to avoid exposure to fumes, dirt, dust and harsh chemicals
- Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS-SERVICE ADVISOR:
- Must have experience with demonstrated success as an Auto Service Advisor/Writer and desire longevity.
- Must be adept at working a plan for success and understand the processes necessary to achieve their objectives.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid in-state driver's license
- Professional personal appearance
- Resumes must be uploaded, and online assessment completed for immediate consideration.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship and be a current resident.
- Applicants must pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, and drug screen.
- Problem solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Professional personal presentation
- Strong organizational skills
- CDK experience preferred but not required
