You are the service liaison with the customer, so your care and attention to the customer is paramount! As a Service Appointment Coordinator, you will also support the customer experience by scheduling service appointments, confirming appointments and tracking special order parts. As the Pick Up and Delivery Specialist, you work with the Service Department to pick up and deliver customer vehicles for service and/or repair. This position requires excellent interpersonal skills for dealing with customers and making them feel special and cared for while obtaining any important vehicle information. The driver will not only drive vehicles back and forth, but will sometimes drive customers, wash and detail vehicles, and support the service department in all aspects of the job. You have the impact of a positive service experience, the ability to grow our business and a presence in our community. The ideal candidate has a high energy level, a desire to work in a fast-paced environment, a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, and great computer skills. Candidates must be able to drive both manual and automatic transmissions and work productively in a team environment and must have a positive attitude, professional appearance, great communication skills, and the ability to deliver world class customer service. Experience in a similar role preferred.
Responsibilities
- Builds a positive relationship with the customer in person and on the phone
- Review all paperwork with the customer and document the vehicle concerns
- Makes appointments for customers for service in the shop loading system
- Follows all safety and security procedures
- Ensures that the required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards
- Washes and details vehicles and moves them to and from service areas and lot as needed
- Installs protective coverings (seat covers, steering wheel covers, floor mats, etc.) and tags in all vehicles brought in for service
- Uses driving and company apps and takes pictures of vehicles and uploads them
- Attends all staff meetings, trainings, and educational classes as required
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Experience in a similar role is preferred
- Automotive knowledge
- At least one year of customer service experience
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Highly professional and dependable
- Neat, clean, and professional in appearance and demeanor
- A clean driving record
- Must be able to drive both automatic and standard-transmission vehicles
- Must be able to operate motor vehicles in tight and small spaces
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good computer and internet skills along with driving app experience
