Description
We have opened a new collision facility in Jeannette and are looking to add a few experienced auto body paint technicians to our rapidly growing team.
What you will be doing:
- Calculating cost estimates.
- Setting up and operating paint and coating machines.
- Assessing and analyzing the damaged areas to prep for painting.
- Preparing the correct color tint to match proper paint color.
- Painting the vehicles with a high level of efficiency and quality.
- Sanding, priming, and prepping surface areas.
- Maintaining controlled temperature and humidity for drying.
- Measuring paint thickness and even application.
- Restoring coating and seam sealers.
- Establishes a finished product which adheres to factory and dealership procedures when performing warranty work.
- Maintaining work area in a clean and orderly manner, which would include the cleaning equipment, tools, and work area to company standards.

Requirements
- 2 years of auto body paint experience.
- Vocational/technical school training with ASE, I-CAR or BASF (waterborne) certification a plus, but not required.
- Current driver’s license with a clean MVR with no tickets or suspensions.
- Ability to pass a drug screening and a background check with no felonies/misdemeanors.
- Ability to work with a variety of tools including blow torches, vehicle lifts, chemical baths, power buffers, spray machines, arc welders, and painting robots.
- Pay close attention to detail and quality of work performed.
- Be organized and maintain a clean work environment.
- Be able to work successfully in a team environment.
- Can easily learn and apply new concepts.
- Maintain the ability and the desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
