What are the responsibilities and job description for the Designer/Florist position at Jimmie's Flowers?
We need someone who is creative minded, dedicated, professional, friendly, willing to learn, and self-motivated. Our designers must be able to take constructive criticism and make our customers ideas/inspiration come true. We are a small family-owned business. We want someone to become a part of our family and work well in a family atmosphere.
Hours/Requirements:
Hours - Saturday 9 am - 1 pm, (Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri) 8:30 am - 5 pm, Wednesday is an optional half day to get the full 40 hours. You would be required to work the full 2 weeks before Valentine's Day, the full week before Mother's Day, the week of Christmas and Easter (Off Christmas/Easter & sometimes off Christmas Eve also, but if not it will be a half day).
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Design floral arrangements
- Answer phones and work with clientele in-person
-Use a Point of Sale System
-Clean buckets, prep flowers, and carry buckets
-Water Plants
-Interior Design, arrange window design, and keep inside setup looking fresh
-Daily Janitorial Duties (Trash, Sweep, Mop, Dust, etc)
- Event Management and come up with creative ideas to keep the business growing
- Rare days you may be asked to deliver
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $14.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Weekend availability

- Cleveland, TN 37311: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
