Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Solar Installer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation of solar energy systems, ensuring that all work is performed safely and efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, construction practices, and the ability to work well in a team environment.
Duties
- Install solar panels and related equipment on residential and commercial properties.
- Conduct site assessments to determine optimal placement for solar installations.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams to ensure accurate installations.
- Collaborate with electricians to connect solar systems to the electrical grid, adhering to NEC standards.
- Utilize tools such as voltmeters and forklifts safely during installation processes.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on installed systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Follow all safety protocols while working on construction sites, including managing high voltage and low voltage systems.
Skills
- Proficient in using voltmeters for electrical measurements.
- Experience operating forklifts in a construction environment.
- Strong understanding of both low voltage and high voltage electrical systems.
- Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC) regulations.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical documents accurately.
- Background as a commercial electrician is preferred but not mandatory.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in all aspects of installation work.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
