Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Solar Installer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical work and experience with fixture installation, as well as the ability to read blueprints. As a Solar Installer, you will play a crucial role in the installation of solar energy systems for residential and commercial properties, ensuring that all installations meet safety standards and comply with the National Electrical Code (NEC).
Responsibilities
- Install solar panels and associated equipment on rooftops and ground-mounted systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine the layout of solar installations.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to complete installations efficiently.
- Conduct electrical work related to solar systems, including low voltage wiring and connections.
- Operate forklifts safely to transport materials to job sites.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on installed systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion while adhering to safety protocols.
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise during installation or maintenance of solar systems.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in fixture installation and electrical work is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with NEC regulations and safety standards is essential.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Experience working with low voltage systems is a plus.
- Proficiency in using voltmeters and other electrical testing equipment.
- Previous experience as a commercial electrician is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work at heights.
