Reports to: Business Owners

Employment Status: Full-time

Starting Salary: $85,000 - $120,000

crucial role in our financial operations and provide essential administrative assistance. This hybrid

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting Duties:

- Oversee daily, monthly, and year-end accounting operations.

- Ensure accurate processing and recording of accounts payable transactions.

- Manage cash receipts, credit card transactions, and revenue recording.

- Administer payroll on scheduled and unscheduled bases, in line with union contracts.

- Handle monthly benefits reporting and processing for union and non-union employees.

- Perform expense allocations, accruals, amortization, and depreciation.

- Conduct thorough account analysis and reconciliations, including bank statements.

- Prepare comprehensive financial reports, including financial statements and budget performance.

- Monitor and report on company insurance matters.

- Assist with audits from insurance companies, customers, government entities, or utilities.

Administrative Support Duties:

- Create and organize documents for leadership and executive teams (letters, Excel files, contracts, etc.).

- Support emergency response tasks, including manpower/equipment rosters and timesheets.

- Manage invoicing and billing per job/storm, coordinating with utilities or contractors.

- Assist management and executive teams with special projects and bids.

Skills & Competencies:

- Strong data monitoring and analysis skills, ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal controls.

- Proficiency in QuickBooks Accounting Software.

- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Attention to detail and good record-keeping.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

- Ability to collaborate effectively with other teams.

- High level of interpersonal skills, demonstrating poise, tact, and diplomacy.

- Up-to-date knowledge of accounting practices and information technology systems.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Must be able to do payroll.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or Accounting.

- 3 to 5 years of related experience.

- Intermediate knowledge of QuickBooks.

- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including formula creation (V-lookups a plus).
