The Construction Warranty Technician is responsible for inspecting and addressing warranty-related issues in newly constructed buildings. This position ensures that any construction defects or system malfunctions reported by homeowners, property managers, or developers are addressed promptly and in compliance with the warranty terms. The technician will perform repairs, conduct inspections, and assist in maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Warranty Inspections:
- Inspect homes or buildings for construction defects or warranty issues.
- Document and photograph areas of concern.
- Communicate directly with homeowners or property managers to assess issues.
- Schedule and coordinate inspections and repairs promptly.
- Repairs and Maintenance:
- Perform necessary repairs for warranty-related issues, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Ensure all repairs are completed to the highest quality standards and comply with safety regulations.
- Order necessary materials and equipment for repairs.
- Customer Service:
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing homeowner concerns and resolving issues professionally.
- Offer solutions to homeowners and keep them informed about progress.
- Respond to warranty claims promptly, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of warranty work, including inspections, repairs, and customer communications.
- Complete warranty service reports and submit them to the warranty or construction manager.
- Ensure all work completed is in line with company standards and warranty policies.
- Collaboration and Coordination:
- Work closely with project managers, contractors, and subcontractors to resolve warranty issues.
- Collaborate with construction teams to ensure that repairs are aligned with the original construction standards.
- Compliance:
- Adhere to safety regulations and building codes during inspections and repairs.
- Stay updated on construction trends, building codes, and warranty policies to ensure compliance.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional technical certifications or training in construction, carpentry, plumbing, or electrical work is a plus.
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience in construction, homebuilding, or a related field. Experience with warranty services is highly desirable.
- Skills and Competencies:
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Good understanding of construction processes, systems, and materials.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to work in various weather conditions and environments.
- Comfortable performing physical labor, including bending, kneeling, and climbing.
Work Environment:

- Must adhere to safety protocols and wear necessary personal protective equipment (PPE).

- Valid driver’s license required.
