Position Description/Overview
The Brand Manager for the CPG division of our client’s company is responsible for managing the brand development and synchronization between various departments, to ensure alignment and execution of profitable growth strategies. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of our brand, driving growth and building a loyal customer base.
Responsibilities
- Develop, manage and execute comprehensive brand strategies.
- Translate findings of consumer research and insights into actionable strategies to enhance brand resonance and drive sales.
- Work closely with the CPG leadership team to develop new products, ensuring alignment with consumer preferences, market trends, and brand positioning.
- Partner with and support the Sales team in key customer meetings, promotional plans, and sales performance reviews.
- Define the brand voice and brand image, ensuring alignment with brand direction and strategy.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to ensure all marketing efforts are aligned with the brand identity ensuring consistency across all touch points.
- Conduct and analyze market research to understand consumer trends and relevancy.
- Coordinate with Marketing and Sales teams to ensure the execution of marketing campaigns, ensuring allocation of resources to maximize impact and achieve business objectives, ensuring ROI.
- Report trends, progress, and analytics to the senior leadership team.
- The Brand manager will have leadership and management responsibilities for the Marketing & Graphics/Art teams. This position will also have oversight of the R&D, and Quality Control teams with a dotted-line reporting structure.
Requirements
- BS in Marketing, Business, Sales or related field. MS preferred.
- 10 years of experience in brand management or marketing roles within the Food & Beverage CPG Industry.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Experience developing and implementing brand strategies that drive consumer engagement and sales growth.
- Experience effectively managing projects and marking/sales campaigns.
- People management experience with cross departmental teams.
- Ability to develop, assess, and implement brand strategies to drive engagement and sales growth for CPG product lines.
- Ability to interpret market data, consumer insights and sales metrics.
- Proven track record of researching and sourcing required information independently.
- Ability to identify information gaps and take initiative to find solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and introduce creative challenger brands.
- Strong project management skills and ability to drive projects/initiatives forward.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Creative problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to travel for key customer visits if/when needed.
- Ability to work onsite in Rochester, NY.
Salary Range
- $85k-$105k
