Position Overview: We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Construction Foreman to join our team. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in construction management, with a proven track record of effectively leading teams and delivering successful projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate all on-site construction activities, including scheduling, resource allocation, and quality control, to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
- Lead and motivate a team of skilled laborers, subcontractors, and vendors, providing guidance, support, and training as needed to ensure optimal performance and productivity.
- Interpret project plans, blueprints, and specifications, and communicate requirements and expectations to the team, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues or risks, and implement corrective actions to maintain project schedule and quality standards.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication, coordination, and resolution of project-related issues.
- Enforce safety protocols and regulations on-site, promote a culture of safety awareness, and conduct regular safety meetings and inspections to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a construction foreman or similar supervisory role, preferably in commercial construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction techniques, methods, and materials, with the ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Proven leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team of workers to achieve project goals and objectives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- 30-hour OSHA certification.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
