Key Responsibilities: As a Transportation Supervisor, you will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing the transportation of goods, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of products to customers by their Must Arrive By Date (MABD), and managing relationships with transportation providers. You will work closely with others to develop and implement transportation policies and procedures, monitor transportation costs, and work to improve transportation efficiency and reduce expenses. Additionally, you will ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards. Maintaining a high level of communication with internal and external stakeholders and addressing any transportation-related issues that arise will be essential in this role. Your leadership and organizational skills will be crucial in driving the success of our transportation operations.
Qualifications: We are looking for individuals with experience in transportation management or logistics. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential. You should have excellent problem-solving abilities and the ability to think critically. Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) and proficiency with the Microsoft suite of products are highly desirable. Experience in managing transportation budgets and reducing costs is preferred. The ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure is required.
