Skills and Experience:
The Lift Station Maintenance Technician’s responsibilities include inspecting, troubleshooting, customer service, maintenance of grounds, maintaining records at each lift station, and communication with supervisor.
Responsibilities:
- Performs daily inspections, maintenance, cleaning, and minimal repairs to lift stations including inspecting the wet-well and generator.
- Communicates with Supervisor if there is an issue with lift stations including any type of maintenance issue, wet-well issue, generator issue, etc.
- Updates records for all work performed at the lift stations including logbook, hour meter, and flow meter readings if applicable.
- Inspect grounds of lift stations to ensure that the grass is cut and there is not garbage on the site grounds.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Ability to understand and follow written or verbal instructions and/or directions
- Ability to communicate to H20 Supervisor on a daily basis in regards to any issues
- Ability to read, write and keep logbooks, inventory records, logbooks, purchase orders, and work requests
- Ability to be on-call with a rotating weekend schedule
- Willingness and ability to perform manual work following verbal and written instructions
- Valid driver’s license
Working Conditions:
- Regularly work near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat, and humidity, and exposure to dust, asphalt, water, and sewage.
- Overtime is required at times
- Must comply with the company’s drug and alcohol testing requirements.
