Based in our global Head Quarters in Chicago, the Director, Executive Recruiting will partner the most senior leadership at JLL in hiring executive level positions across the business. This highly visible and critical role will engage cross-functionally with all business lines to provide a high touch, best in class executive search experience. You will be part of a dynamic global team including dedicated executive recruitment talent sourcers and recruitment coordinators.
Leveraging your extensive executive search experience, you will lead the full lifecycle of a search process, whilst influencing and guiding your stakeholders to ensure the highest quality talent is successfully sourced, assessed and hired.
This individual will focus on recruiting for senior level positions based in the US, many of which are global in scope. There will also be collaboration with stakeholders in EMEA and opportunities to be involved in global projects and initiatives across the broader HR function.
Key accountabilities
Create an exceptional experience while managing executive level candidates throughout the full recruiting life cycle, including but not limited to: sourcing, cold calling, screening, interviewing, referrals, counselling, negotiating, offering, and marketing the firm's attributes
Develop and execute recruitment strategies for various roles at the executive level, including proactive talent pipelining.
Negotiate hiring terms and manage discussions around total rewards packages
Form strong relationships with prospective candidates and trusted partnerships with key business stakeholders
Provide recruiting metrics for internal and external client reporting
Work with the HR Business Partner(s) and/or business unit leaders to create robust job profiles, scorecards, and leverage assessment tools to fill current and future hiring needs
Utilize internet, employee referrals, cold calling, and networking to identify and contact qualified and diverse applicants for positions
Develop new sources to identify and proactively build a warm bench of talent, conduct initial call to potential candidate
Lead candidate regroup sessions with senior level business stakeholders
With a continuous improvement mindset, you will identify opportunities to build best practices for recruiting and participate in special firm wide recruiting initiatives
Engage in ad hoc projects and programmes across the global Talent Acquisition and HR function
Create key measures of success and provide regular reporting and analysis of recruiting efforts
Embed purpose-driven messages into the recruiting experience
Leverage technology to drive improvements and simplification in the recruitment process
Support Affirmative Action/Diversity initiatives

Bachelor's degree with concentration in Human Resources, Business, or Marketing
Minimum 10 years of executive recruitment experience, ideally a combination of executive search firm and some in-house recruitment experience
Experience working in a fast-paced global matrixed environment
Able to work at pace and show excellent learning agility, you will be working across different business lines and must be flexible, adaptable and able to quickly 'get under the skin of the business' and understand their hiring needs
Proven success building and managing relationships with stakeholders at a senior leadership level
Passionate about candidate care and and able to build long term relationships with senior candidates in the market, both passive and active
Experience with applicant tracking and CRM systems; Workday and Avature a plus
Highly collaborative - willing to lean in to the broader Talent Acquisition team to share knowledge, insights and ensure a cohesive 'OneJLL' approach across our function
Ability to establish relationships and influence senior stakeholders across an organization
Laser focused on providing high touch service to executive level hiring managers and candidates
Knowledge of various executive total rewards components
Tech savvy - leverages technology to work more efficiently
Operates with a sales mindset clearly articulating JLL's vision of shaping the future of real estate for a better world
Strong organizational skills and proven track record of results
