About the Job
The Construction Contracts Manager will lead commercial aspects of operations but must be able to interface with and understand designers, engineers, and construction personnel. This role administers the Request for Proposal/Request for Quotation (RFP/RFQ) process for contractors, analyzes required flow downs and includes in subcontracts and RFQs, maintains records and documentation which serves as the basis for technical and commercial change evaluation, and regularly monitors contract status and reports status to management in standardized formats.
Responsibilities
This role requires the ability to span both commercial and technical areas, understand legal terms and conditions, develop negotiating contract terms and conditions specifically for contracts related to construction, and engineering services, and perform contract closeout.
Requirements
The ideal candidate has some proven track in construction work, thrives in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment, gets excited about construction projects as well as completing assignments on time, is self-oriented, organized, a great communicator, and approachable. The individual should be comfortable working within a team environment at the project site. Additionally, the candidate should have experience developing negotiating contract terms and conditions specifically for contracts related to construction, and engineering services, and performing contract closeout.
