POSITION: Regional Certified Pre-Owned Sr. Specialist
LOCATION: Mahwah, NJ
RECRUITMENT SALARY RANGE: $92,000 - $115,000*

Reporting to the Decision Science Manager, you will be responsible for analyzing data, creating insightful reports and dashboards, and providing actionable recommendations to support business strategies

Your primary responsibility is to manage the strategy, analytics and data modelling for the Pre-Owned department. This position will develop the methodology of Certified Pre-Owned vehicle sales objectives, retention objectives and other key performance metrics. They will be regularly involved in conversations with senior leadership, the regional field teams, and will work closely with other members in the Pre-Owned department on various projects.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
Along with your ambition to achieve the exceptional, there are several skills that you’ll need to have to help you succeed here, including:
- Lead the analytics of CPO sales reporting and objective methodologies for the department.
- Develop and own data models for the departmental KPIs, such as CPO objectives, retention performance, and overall sales/financial performance.
- Identify areas of opportunity to strengthen retailer performance.
- Coordinate CPO special projects for the department, such as: CPO warranty pricing analysis, CPO program development, data interfaces (tableau) development with internal IT team and all other arising department priorities.
- Develop strategy and best practices for selling Accessories specifically on Pre-Owned vehicles.
- Support management of the budget for the department, overseeing variable marketing expense as well as fixed selling expenses.
- Perform other duties as required
Travel: 50% due to retailer visits
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 5 years in the automotive industry
- 5 years financial/budget analytical experience
- Demonstrated experience of developing sales strategy in a franchise and customer retail environment
- Knowledge of remarketing principles around customer maturities, retention and loyalty initiatives
- Experience in digital transformation and simplification of processes
- Vendor/supplier management experience
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office suite for data analysis purposes
- Tableau Dashboard experience
- Advanced Written and Verbal Communication Skills (written and verbal)
- Advanced Presentation Skills
- Must have strong business acumen, and the ability to work with people at varying levels within the organization.
Schedule: Hybrid Ways of Working (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday - office days; Wednesday and Friday - choice days)
*Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized components, including location, skills, experience, and market factors. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus in addition to a full range of medical/health, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick/personal, and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position”.
