The Operations Manager holds the key role of overseeing the efficient day-to-day management, administration, and reporting of all business activities. This includes but is not limited to planning, budgeting, scheduling, delivery, inventory management, and safety. Responsibilities :
- Navigate operational challenges adeptly, prioritizing effective communication internally and ensuring top-notch service delivery to customers.
- Manage inventory levels in the yard and handle damaged inventory appropriately.
- Supervise monthly cycle counting and closing procedures.
- Demonstrate proficiency in understanding financial operations such as volume buying and selling, profit margins, and P&L statements.
- Ensure adherence to OSHA and company safety policies among delivery personnel both in the warehouse and at job sites.
- Conduct regular safety reviews in collaboration with the Safety Manager.
- Oversee the cleanliness and maintenance of warehouse and yard areas.
- Manage the full-cycle delivery process, including removal of damaged materials, accurate stocking of orders, and coordination with relevant managers.
- Maintain transparent communication with customers, promptly addressing any issues related to orders and delivery.
- Monitor material deliveries from other yards, ensuring alignment with agreed-upon timelines.
- Coordinate daily activities of team members, motivating them to achieve productivity, teamwork, safety, and quality goals.
- Foster collaboration across departments to maximize productivity and cultivate an inclusive environment.
- Develop and refine performance plans, seeking continuous process improvements.
- Uphold service level requirements throughout operations.
