An Estimator, or Project Estimator, is responsible for deciding the projected time frame needed to complete a project and additional factors like labor needs, materials, budgets and potential setbacks. Their duties include communicating with personnel and contractual professionals or vendors, using computer software to weigh production risks or compile reports and making presentations to project leaders outlining their suggestions for upcoming projects. Demonstrates effective verbal, written, and communication skills; creative, analytical, and detail oriented. Technology & Knowledge: Proficient use of 3D modeling software, with preference for Autodesk (Inventor, AutoCAD, and Vault). Experience with construction preferred. *Qualifications* * High school or equivalent (Preferred) * Construction estimating: 3 years (Preferred) * US work authorization (Preferred) * Responsible for bidding activities for the following types of work: * Hard bid * RFP/RFQ * Negotiated * Design/Build * CM/GC * Proficient in plan reading both on paper and digitally. * Interface with the subcontractors, government agencies (Utah DFCM, USU, WSU, USACOE, etc.) and the customer/Owner to help our company grow. * Strong Leadership skills in conjunction with a positive “can do” attitude * Highly & Meticulously Organized, efficient with good written and verbal communication skills * Must be very computer literate with knowledge of digital estimating software such as Planswift, and scheduling software such as Oracle P6 and MS Project. Other programs such as Smartbid and Sage CPC * Must be outgoing * Some Project Management as needs merit · May be required to pass employer performance tests including pre-employment drug screening. *Education and/or Experience* *Required: *\* Five years related experience * A bachelor's degree (BS, BA) or associates degree in Construction Management from a four-year college or University preferred * Verifiable Record of long-term employment Competitive pay depending on experience.
