Job Summary
The Health4PETS® Liaison is the individual assigned as the direct contact with Clients to communicate any health and wellness updates or concerns regarding their pet. The Liaison monitors the wellness of boarders by performing hands-on checks at prescribed times throughout the day. Liaisons report status changes to all departments ensuring continuity of care throughout the facility. Liaisons dispense medications and vaccinations to all Resort guests as prescribed and are first on the scene should immediate medical attention be required.
Essential Job Functions
- Identify specific physical conditions (including vomiting, diarrhea, eye, and nasal discharge, limping, seizures, bloat, wound injuries, skin issues such as questionable lumps and bumps) and follow a prescribed course of action to ensure animal safety.
- Use sensitivity, maturity, and professionalism in all client (and staff) communications.
- Maintain accurate and timely records documenting all activities and events as required.
- Responsible for daily all staff communication.
- Efficiently conduct work using daily tasks lists, checklists, and other organizational systems.
- Safely administer vaccinations and medications.
- Use strong time management skills to accomplish all tasks; reassess priorities due to unanticipated events.
- Conduct all work with a calm, confident demeanor.
- Follow all handling guidelines to safely navigate dogs throughout the facility.
- Practice positive reinforcement dog training using treats.
- Adhere to changing work schedule which requires rotating shifts, weekend shifts, holidays, and overtime in accordance with business needs.
- Maintain excellent attendance record with an on-time arrival.
- Take on any additional tasks or projects within the facility when requested.
- Learn, understand and identify universal canine body language and dog behaviors.
- Learn and interpret dog body language to anticipate reactions. Make sound judgments to maximize safe outcomes.
- Learn/follow specific steps and protocols for appropriate and timely communication with Pet Parents and Team Members.
- Learn and follow a color-coded caution system describing employee restrictions and permissions for dog handling.
- Listen and respond to verbal instructions communicated in person, over loudspeaker, or walkytalky.
Job Hazards
- Exposure to dog and cat bites and scrapes.

- Restraining large animals in an agitated state. Frequent bending, lifting, and standing.
Computers Skills
- Must be able to learn and efficiently use Vetter, Gingr, Springboard, One Note, When I Work and Go Daddy Email.
- Must be able to learn new technology in accordance with business needs.
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of professional Animal Care experience required.
- Passionate about animal welfare. Treats all animals with compassion and kindness.
- Outstanding interpersonal communication skills.
- Must be highly organized. Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong computer experience. Learns new programs with ease.
- Comfortable interacting with dogs and cats of all breeds and sizes.
- Follow a rotating work schedule. (e.g. nights, weekends, and holidays) Reliable and dependable. Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality Strong work ethic. Set high standards for self and others.
Education
- Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT) preferred.
- High School Diploma required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
