JMARK is helping one of our banking clients in the selection of an IT Director to be located out of their office in Seneca, KS.
Position Mission :
This position provides information technology oversight for the bank to maximize the effectiveness of data collection, processing, and reporting. It involves defining and recommending organizational solutions based on user requirements and utilizing third-party technology partners. The role also includes ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the bank"s information. Collaboration with a Managed Services Provider (MSP) is crucial to enhance IT operations and security.
Major Duties :
- Design, develop, and implement comprehensive, computer-based information systems to ensure users' needs are met and data is processed according to company specifications and requirements.
- Maintain systemwide security in accordance with agreed-upon performance standards with the collaboration of third-party IT partners and MSPs.
- Manage IT Governance Charter Meetings and provide thorough follow-up on projects, recommendations, and next steps.
- Define user information requirements by conferring with users and analyzing functions. Recommend and assist in developing computer-based business solutions, specifically Custody Division software.
- Plan system applications, assign staff to develop, test, and complete programs, and evaluate the effectiveness of programs.
- Prepare and maintain technical specifications and related documentation to secure procedures and prevent system failure.
- Research and make recommendations on hardware and software purchases. Negotiate with vendors on behalf of the company to ensure cost-effective purchasing decisions.
- Collaborate on an IT budget strategy to include (software updates, hardware purchases, etc.).
- Work directly with C-Suite department members on their department's IT needs, future planning, problem-solving, etc.
- Improve existing software programs and develop new applications to meet future business needs.
- Ensure hardware and software are maintained and data is secured through proper backups and staff training.
- Keep up to date on information and technology affecting functional areas to increase innovation and ensure compliance.
- Develop and implement security policies, protocols, and procedures in collaboration with MSPs.
- Conduct regular security audits and assessments with the support of MSPs.
- Monitor network traffic for unusual activity and respond to security incidents in coordination with MSPs.
- Coordinate with IT staff and MSPs to ensure that security measures are integrated into system designs.
- Maintain consistent and documented compliance with all relevant regulations and policies set and approved by the board of directors.
- Conduct regular risk assessments with department heads and report the effectiveness of security controls to the Board Audit Committee.
- Develop and maintain business continuity and disaster recovery plans in collaboration with MSPs.
- Develop and maintain an incident response and reporting program and manage it with the incident response team and MSPs.
- Prepare for and respond to audits and exams.
- Collaborate on cybersecurity standards with the MSP to ensure compliance.
- Work with the executive team on insurance renewals for information security.
- Prepare and present IT / Network board reports.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
