Job Summary
The Assistant Property Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of a property management team. Duties
- Assist in managing day-to-day operations of the property, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.
- Handle tenant inquiries and concerns with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
- Support the leasing process by conducting property tours, processing applications, and preparing lease agreements.
- Maintain accurate records through data entry and management using Yardi or similar property management software.
- Assist in upselling available units and amenities to prospective tenants to maximize occupancy rates.
- Collaborate with the Property Manager to negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers.
- Ensure that all administrative tasks are completed efficiently, including filing, correspondence, and reporting.
- Monitor property maintenance requests and coordinate with maintenance staff to ensure timely resolution.
Skills
- Proficiency in Yardi or similar property management software is highly desirable.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
- Strong phone etiquette and communication skills for effective tenant interaction.
- Excellent data entry skills with attention to detail for accurate record-keeping.
- Knowledge of contract negotiation processes to assist in vendor management.
- Familiarity with LIHTC regulations and real estate administrative practices is a plus.
- Ability to upsell property features effectively to enhance leasing opportunities.
