Accountant

Location: Andover, MA (On-site 100% every day in office)

Employment type: Direct-Hire

Must haves:

• Work experience at an Engineering Company (Civil Engineering (preferred), Architecture, Building Construction, Industrial Engineering, Robotics Engineering).
• Project accounting experience

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, and cash flow statements
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
• Prepare monthly invoicing for various contracts
• Coordinate with external auditors and manage annual audit processes
• Provide financial analysis and reporting to support decision-making processes
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency and control
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate project accounting and cost tracking
• Use organization and time management to address pressing project matters when time is limited, and to manage multiple tasks, sometimes for multiple projects or project managers at once
• Problem solving/analysis; ability to research and analyze various types of information

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred, but not required
• Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in an engineering or consulting environment
• Proficiency in VantagePoint or other ERP software is an advantage
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
