Position Summary:

The Electrical Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems in motors, gearboxes, and pumps. This role supports the mechanical and production teams by ensuring the electrical components of the equipment function optimally, ensuring system reliability and performance.

Requirements & Skills:

·       Associate's degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical Systems, or a related field.

·       Certification in electrical systems or a licensed journeyman status preferred.

·       Minimum of 3 years of experience working as an electrical technician in an industrial environment, preferably with motors, gearboxes, and pumps.

·       Strong knowledge of electrical circuits, motor controls, relays, and PLC systems.

·       Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes.

·       Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.

·       Experience with electrical troubleshooting and maintenance of large equipment.

·       Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

·       Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with mechanical technicians and other team members.

·       Must be able to lift heavy components, work in a physically demanding environment, and adhere to strict safety protocols.

Primary Duties Include:

·       Install, test, and maintain electrical systems and components for motors, gearboxes, and pumps.

·       Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions in various systems and provide solutions to restore functionality.

·       Perform preventive maintenance on electrical components and systems to minimize downtime.

·       Conduct detailed inspections of electrical circuits, wiring, and connections to ensure safe operation.

·       Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.

·       Assist in the assembly and installation of motors and related electrical systems.

·       Diagnose and repair faults in control panels, wiring, and PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) systems.

·       Collaborate with mechanical technicians and foreman to ensure proper integration of electrical and mechanical systems.

·       Maintain electrical equipment and tool inventory to ensure the availability of necessary parts.

·       Follow safety procedures and industry standards during all electrical work.

·       Support continuous improvement efforts and recommend improvements in electrical processes.

·       Maintain accurate records of all repairs, maintenance activities, and inspections performed.

·       Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues that impact production deadlines or quality.

·       Participate in training programs to stay updated on the latest technologies and safety standards.
