Temp-to-Hire Opportunity

Starting Pay: $52,000 Salary

Shift(s):

1^st shift (6am- 2:30pm Mon-Fri plus OT when needed) 

Requirements & Skills:

·       Sets stops on machine bed, change dies, and adjusts components, such as ram or power press, when making multiple or successive passes.

·       Operates power press, power brake, apron brake, swagging machine, foot-powered press, hydraulic

press (air bending), or arbor press according to specifications.

·       Installs, aligns and secures gears, holding fixtures, dies to machine bed, using gauges, templates,

feelers, shims and hand tools.

·       Plans sequence of operations, applying knowledge of physical properties of metal.

·       Inspects work piece for defects.

·       Measures work piece and verifies dimensions using micrometer, template, straightedge, and scale.

·       Selects and positions flat, block, radius or special purpose die sets into ram and bed of machine, using

hoist crane, measuring instruments and hand tools.

·       Provide input to enhance existing production methods.

·       Work independently with minimum supervision and/or willing to work in a team environment, which

may include working on projects and/or equipment that is outside or of original job scope.

·       Recommend hiring and releasing of production personnel.

·       Work in a variety of temperature conditions.

·        Maintain accurate records, both paper and electronic, related to incoming and outgoing materials, job

orders, shipping tags, etc.

·       Maintain updated knowledge of product and industry standards.

·       Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and sit/stand for long periods of time

·       3 years of previous work-related skill, knowledge, and experience preferred

·       Must have proven abilities in communication, organization, setting priorities

·       Experience with process improvement methodologies to improve efficiency and

effectiveness.

Primary Duties Include:

·       Other duties as assigned.

·       Work overtime when needed.
