**Job Overview:**
JMR Excavation LLC is seeking an experienced Foreman/Supervisor for Field Excavation to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience managing a team of Operators and Skilled Labor on a variety of excavation projects. They will have experience reading job site blueprints/plans and managing and motivating a team to deliver on specs in timely, efficient, and safe environment. Experience with using a laser and figuring grades using GPS. Responsible for managing vendors and materials required for the job site on a daily basis and planning for upcoming needs. Experience working with various clients, architects, engineers to meet specified project guidelines and executing a quality finished product. Working closely with owner, office and Project Management staff to communicate status, project needs and follow project timelines while managing field resources.
**Responsibilities:**
- Manage project as assigned by the Vice President
- Reponsible for oversight of on-site day to day constrution projects at multiple sites
- Must have exemplary Superintendent skills coupled with project management abilities.
-Manage submittals of project documents and architectural drawings, technical queries, variation orders, and engineering actions.
-Review architectural design plans to ensure compliance to specifications.
-Identify issues early and work to develop solutions.
-Strong communication skills with Vice President, Project Manager and Client
-Operate and maintain a variety of heavy equipment including but not limited to Excavator, Skid Steer a plus
- Ensure work site is prepared each day with proper equipment and supplies
- Ensure equipment is operated safely and efficiently by employees
- Candidate will have the ability to problem solve, work safely and efficiently, and work cohesively with other team members to produce an accurate finished construction project.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations on job sites as well as ability to communicate well with management, clients and other employees
-Ensure construction equipment and tools are cleaned and stored properly, along with securing all equipment for loading, unloading and transporting.
-All work is on-site in CNY. Expectations are to show up on time at designated location. Overtime may occur. Driver's license and reliable transportation is required.
**Experience:**
- Proven experience in On-Site Foreman/Superintendent knowledge and responsibilities in a Construction and excavation environment.
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with equipment
- Familiarity with construction sites and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience with Caterpillar machinery is a plus
