Job Description:
The Materials Manager will oversee the procurement, inventory control, and supply chain operations for our partner in Wakarusa, Indiana. This role is responsible for managing the purchasing department, warehouse, and inventory control activities, working closely with manufacturing teams to establish scheduling and planning requirements.
- Lead and manage the department of buying reps.
- Work collaboratively with facility leadership team and corporate office teams.
- Foster a culture focused on team member experience and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with existing supplier contracts and company SOPs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Negotiate pricing with non-contract suppliers.
- Manage Oracle Supply Chain and Manufacturing modules to improve business processes.
- Perform cycle count process to accurately update inventory quantities.
- Manage inventory accuracies while using the ERP system.
- Analyze Demand and Supply Plans.
- Forecast component needs using demand analysis and other forecasting methods.
- Configure and manage planning setup, data collection, and order promising.
- Manage data collection processes and verify collected data.
- Operate and order within defined supply terms (lead time, minimum order quantity, delivery, etc.).
- Work independently on assigned projects and tasks, utilizing other resources as needed.
Qualifications:
- 4-year degree in Supply Chain operations, Industrial Engineering, or similar field required.
- 3 years' leadership experience in manufacturing Materials Management and/or Supply Chain management experience preferred.
- Experience working on high-impact cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
