Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Director of Manufacturing to oversee and enhance our manufacturing operations while ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and implementing the SQDCP (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People) framework. This role is integral to maintaining product quality, optimizing production efficiency, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- GMP Compliance:
- Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with GMP regulations and industry standards.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- SQDCP Implementation:
- Lead initiatives focusing on safety, product quality, delivery timelines, cost-effectiveness, and employee development.
- Monitor and analyze KPIs across the SQDCP framework, driving actionable improvements.
- Operational Excellence:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the gummy and supplement production lines, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve bottlenecks in production.
- Team Leadership:
- Train and mentor staff on GMP protocols and the SQDCP methodology.
- Build a high-performing team by fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration.
- Quality Control:
- Ensure rigorous quality testing of raw materials and finished products to meet regulatory and customer expectations.
- Address and resolve quality-related issues promptly, implementing preventative measures.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain comprehensive records of production processes, quality assessments, and compliance activities.
- Present performance reports and improvement plans to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Sigma Black Belt
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing role within the gummy, supplement, or related food industry.
- Strong knowledge of GMP standards and SQDCP methodologies.
- Proven track record of managing production teams and implementing process improvements.
- Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements specific to the dietary supplement or food industries.
