The Role: Patent Associate
This is a dynamic position where you will contribute to groundbreaking legal work in the areas ofmechanical, electrical, and software-related technologies. You will work with inventors, engineers, and corporate executives to ensure their innovations are protected, fostering their ability to compete in a global marketplace.

Key Responsibilities
Patent Preparation and Prosecution:
- Draft, file, and prosecute U.S. and international patent applications with meticulous attention to detail and strategic insight.
- Conduct patentability analyses and provide clear recommendations to clients.
- Collaborate closely with clients to understand their technologies, goals, and business strategies.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, enforceable patent claims.
- Develop and implement intellectual property strategies tailored to each clients needs.
- Manage and oversee clients patent portfolios to ensure robust protection of their innovations.
- Provide support for IP-related litigation, due diligence, freedom-to-operate analysis, and opinion work as needed.
Experience
- 25 years of experience in drafting and prosecuting U.S. and international patent applications, with a strong focus onmechanical, electrical, and/or software-related technologies. AI BigLaw or major firm background is highlydesired
- Superior academic credentials in law.
- A technical degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field is strongly preferred.
- Admission to a state bar (required).
- Registration to practice before theU.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)is required.
