Job Summary: As a Landscape Supervisor, you will oversee landscape maintenance operations, ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency. You will manage a team of landscape professionals, coordinate project activities, and ensure that all work meets client expectations and regulatory requirements. Essential Job Functions:
- Supervise and lead a team of landscape technicians, ensuring effective performance and adherence to company standards, and contract requirements.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate landscape maintenance and installation projects.
- Conduct site inspections to assess work progress, quality, and compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Provide training and guidance to team members on best practices and company procedures.
- Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and materials; manage procurement as needed.
- Communicate effectively with clients to address concerns, provide updates, and ensure satisfaction.
- Maintain irrigation systems, and repair systems per contract statement of work.
- Prepare and manage project budgets and reports.
- Ensure all work complies with QWEL standards and other relevant certifications.
Supervisory Duties:
- Responsible for the supervision of JOI employees to ensure all tasks are completed by the requirements of the contract.
- In charge of quality control for all tasks performed to ensure contractual requirements are regularly met.
- Ensures all employees have the proper safety equipment needed to meet all safety standards.
- Responsible for the completion of daily paperwork and keys to keep records current.
- Informs project manager of any behavior or incidents detrimental to our relationship with GSA or project goals.
- Maintains supply control to ensure accessibility of necessary items.
- Ensures proper maintenance and service of equipment to prevent breakdowns of machinery.
- Directly supervises 3-4 employees during the day shift for landscaping/grounds maintenance team.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities by the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Responsibilities include training new employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees.
- Addressing complaints and resolving problems.
