Job Title: Accounting Assistant - Benefits Audit Support
Location: Remote (Monthly travel to Windsor required)
Pay Rate: $28/hr
Duration: Up to 9 months (may not be required after a 3-month break)
Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Assistant to support benefits auditing and communication processes. This position involves receiving benefit information from various agencies, verifying rates, and ensuring accurate data entry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate primarily via email with agencies to confirm benefit rates and ensure accurate information.
- Utilize Excel extensively, including formulas and VLOOKUP functions, to organize and analyze data.
- Review and reason through a variety of paperwork submitted by agencies.
- Collaborate with internal teams and participate in monthly in-person meetings in Windsor, as well as attend initial on-site training for a few days.
Qualifications:
- Strong proficiency in Excel, including formulas and VLOOKUP.
- Prior experience in auditing, payroll, or benefits administration.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage tasks independently while maintaining focus and accuracy.
Additional Requirements:
- Must pass a background check.
- While this is a remote position, candidates must have a dedicated, distraction-free workspace during work hours (no childcare or similar responsibilities during this time).
- Flexible scheduling available within standard Monday-Friday business hours
