Facilities Tech II (Level 18)

Position Profile

Will perform preventative/ predictive maintenance of conveyance equipment using the appropriate procedures, manuals and document, maintain and repair fulfilment center tracking.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Track and store department inventory, including spare parts

• Develop and maintain positive working relationships across all levels of the

organization

• Perform repairs on all electrical equipment from 24VDC to 480VA

• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all material handling

equipment components

• Maintain and troubleshoot motors, photo eyes, relays, proximity sensors, solenoids,

motor starters

• Plumbing repairs as needed

• Janitorial duties as needed

• Carpentry and painting as required

• Lock-out / Tag-out procedures

• Grounds keeping duties

• Assist with safety and code compliance

• Repair conveyor belts, motors, beds and guides

• Complete knowledge of operation of all equipment in facility

• Interfaces with Facility vendors for MHE, Conveyance, and Control Systems

• Any other duties assigned by the supervisor/manager

What skills do you need?

• Must be able to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours

• Operate floor scrubber/sweeper

• Install safety items throughout the warehouse

• Abides by all OSHA and organizational safety practices

• Work various shifts as needed to support the facility’s needs

• Ability to climb ladders

• May provide direction and training to Tech I Associates

• Follow and require others to follow all OSHA LOTO and other requirements

Working Conditions, Mental & Physical Demands

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

• Must possess visual acuity to read labels, RF scanners and to maneuver throughout

facility

• Must be able to hear and understand verbal instructions

• Must be able to push or pull carts of up to 100 pounds

• Must be able to climb stairs

• Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel and grasp products

Qualifications (Education, Experience and Certifications)

• Education – High School diploma or general education degree (GED).

• Electrical, Mechanical or OSHA achievements preferred

• Experience – Minimum of 2 years in maintenance capacity in warehousing or manufacturing environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
