We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in the Healthcare industry. This is a permanent position, where the ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial health of our organization, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations, and driving strategic business planning. This role is pivotal in driving our financial reporting, cash flow forecasting, trend and variance analysis, and data analysis. This position will also manage the general ledger, assist with annual budgeting, annual financial audits, internal control, and grant accounting. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position.
Responsibilities :
Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to : accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes
Manage the preparation and publication of departmental and organization financial documents
Collaborate with executive leadership to define organizational financial strategy
Ensure company compliance with all tax reporting requirements, coordinating with external tax accountants as needed
Develop and maintain a system of accounting records and techniques
Conduct regular ledger activities to ensure accuracy and consistency of entries
Create models to predict and measure financial outcomes and risks
Conduct variance analysis, trend analysis, and business case development
Drive the budgeting and forecasting process, as well as the annual business planning process
Develop and implement robust financial controls and processes
Manage internal and external audits and address any issues that may arise
Manage and track the performance of invested assets in keeping with policies and investment guidelines
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial accounting position, preferably in the healthcare industry
Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation preferred
Proficient in tax compliance, financial reporting standards, cash flow forecasting, strategic business planning, trend analysis, variance analysis, data analysis, and general ledger
Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Experience with annual budgeting, annual financial audits, internal control, and grant accounting
Excellent computer skills; experience in accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Advanced mathematical and logical deduction skills
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
Accurate and precise attention to detail
Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.
