We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accounting Manager to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent position in the healthcare industry, offering a unique opportunity to play a crucial role in the financial management of our organization. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our accounting department, ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of our financial reporting and control systems. Responsibilities :
As an Accounting Manager, your key responsibilities will include :
1. Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable / receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, and utilities.
2. Monitoring and analyzing accounting data and produce financial reports or statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable financial rules and regulations.
3. Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
4. Coordinating and completing annual audits, providing recommendations for improving procedures and systems for initiating corrective actions.
5. Allocating resources and managing cash flows.
6. Conducting timely and accurate account reconciliation on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
7. Preparing and posting journal entries, ensuring the accuracy of information and adherence to established procedures.
8. Developing and mentoring the accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
9. Collaborating with management to form financial strategies and plans.
Qualifications :
The successful candidate for the Accounting Manager position should possess the following qualifications :
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification will be an added advantage.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role, with a proven track record of successful financial management.
3. Proficient in accounting software, with advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
4. Solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles, with experience in creating financial statements and preparing budget reports.
5. Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team.
6. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions based on data.
8. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly convey financial information to non-financial colleagues.
9. Knowledge of all aspects of corporate accounting and financial management.
10. Proven experience with business and financial forecasting.
